Hi I'm Mandy

Wife, Teacher, SPCA volunteer, Dog-lover, Florida Gator fan and hockey lover, softball player, and Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in northwest Florida for 22 years. At 22, I moved to VA and married my best friend in the DC Temple. I'm a private kindergarten teacher in Northern Virginia and I have a passion for teaching just not the politics that go along with it. I love to spend my weekends at the local SPCA and have a special spot in my heart for dogs. I have 3 3/4 dogs one of which is three-legged. I've been married to my best friend for 5 1/2 years but have no kids... yet. Trying to become parents which have been a struggle for us, but I know it will happen one day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church and chose to stay a member because I know without a doubt that it is true. Joseph Smith was a true and living prophet and restored the gospel upon this earth. I also know that there are living prophets and apostles that speak to us to help us back to our Heavenly Father. Families can live forever as long as I obey his commandments and endure to the end. I love my Savior and I'm greatful for the truthfulness that this gospel brings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example, going to church every Sunday, praying daily, and doing my best to read the Book of Mormon.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

After one is baptized into the church, the new member is then given the Holy Ghost by the members of Priesthood who lay hands upon one's head. The Holy Ghost is a guide and comforter in one's life. If obedient, the Holy Ghost helps guide one through trials and tribulations and is also a comfort when worried, doubtful, scared, etc. Show more Show less
