Hi I'm Ruth

I love my family and my life. I'm a Latter-day Saint.

About Me

I have attended three semesters of college and am eager to learn and gain an education. Learning is important to me; I love teachers who help guide me to new insights and don't just dump information on students. I have a thirst for knowledge and wish I had more time to learn about everything that I want to. I served as a missionary in the Korea Seoul Mission and Korea Seoul South Mission for 18 months. It was important to me to share this gospel because it has made me so happy and I wanted to share this happiness with others. My mission was difficult, but I grew a lot and am grateful for the experience. I absolutely love reading. My favorite genres are fantasy and science fiction. I love it how books can transport you to a different world with characters who you can relate with and learn from. It's amazing how many facts and insights about life that you can learn, even from fiction books. I've realized that just because some things aren't real doesn't mean they don't contain truth and I love it when books teach me something new about life. I enjoy drawing and trying to write fantasy books, but what I really love to do is write poetry. My dream in life is to publish a poetry book one day.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but that is not the only reason I am a member. Throughout my life I have felt the Spirit bear witness to me in many different ways that this is the true church of God and it is where I am meant to be. I know that God is my Father and that He loves me and wants me to return to Him. I know that He provided a Plan by which I can be happy and because I know He loves His children I know He speaks to a prophet today to help guide us. I also know that He spoke to prophets anciently and that the Book of Mormon was written by prophets and translated by the prophet Joseph Smith. I am extremely grateful to have this knowledge and to be a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. I try to uphold the standards of the church by living with integrity and virtue. I try to be honest and a helping hand wherever needed. I recognize that I am a great potential for good, and that if I live my life to the best and fullest, I can change my world for the better. I live my faith in the way I think and act.
