Hi I'm Sharon

I am a mom and I am in charge of a group that makes quilts for the local homeless shelter. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom of four beautiful children that challenge me every day to be a better person. I am married to one of the best men alive who treats me like gold. I am blissfully happy in our TEENY apartment, and I am grateful everyday for the wonderful life the Lord has given us!

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. I love the direction and answers the gospel gives me. When I am in need of answers and help in my life, I have the knowledge of how to utilize prayer and faith to get the help from the Lord that I need. I love the fellowship the church provides and the instant family and friends that are provided through membership in His church. I know that this church truly is God's church and I am thankful everyday for the comfort and joy this gospel brings me.

How I live my faith

I am a firm believer in service. I think through service, we can become more like Christ. For the last 5 years, I have been in charge of a quilting group. At first it was my job in the church to make quilts for the Humanitarian Aid. Then as we moved across the country, I found a local need at the homeless shelter, and with a group of wonderful ladies, of all faiths, we create 2 children quilts a week and then donate them to the shelter. I know the Lord is pleased with my and my quilting ladies service to his special children. I pray that I may find ways to relieve suffering and help those around us in need.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Sharon
When I read the Book of Mormon every day, my life flows so much easier. My children don't behave more angelic, and life doesn't become problem free, but I deal with life's challenges with so much more ease. Reading Gods words brings a light into my day and I am happier as a result. It is a good reminder to me of why I am here on earth and what my purpose is. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Sharon
We believe that God has a body of flesh and bones like us. We believe we were created in his image. We believe that Jesus is his son and that he came to earth and received a body and then died for us. We believe that God loves us more than we know and is very involved in every aspect of our lives. Like any tender loving parent, he wants us to talk to him, thank him for our blessings, tell him of our problems, and ask for help. We believe that he knows us personally and cares very much for our happiness. I am so grateful for him and the help and love he gives me. Show more Show less
