Hi I'm Matt Adams

I am from a part member family living in the South. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a husband and a Father. I enjoy all sports and outdoor activitis. I also performing arts, museums, etc.... I have grown up in South. I have lived in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee. So I have grown up around the "Bible Belt" and gained great spiritual strength over the years standing up for my standards and what I believed in through lots of peer pressure and opposition. I am not saying their was constant bombardment because southerners are extremely kind people but their are some differences of opinion and many are not affraid to point out those differences. I also grew up with a father who was a great man but not a member of the church. Their is countless blessing that come from having a Father who is a member of the church and a worthy Priesthood holder. All these experiences have molded me into who I am today. It has given me the desire to continue to build my faith so it can't be shaken by those who oppose it. It has taught me to be someone that my family can depend on for the services of the Priesthood that I hold. I can not forget to mention that my life hs led me to my amazing wife who continues to inspire me and help me become a better, stronger person every day.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life I tried to live what I have been taught. I have recieved multiple whitnesses from the Holy Ghost that testify to me that the principles I am living are correct. I have studied and prayed about the Book of Mormon and recieved a personal answer that it is true. I have been placed in different places and seen how my Heavenly Father is shapping me up to this point. I know we still have alot of work to do but I know that I am in the right place and on the right path. I know that this is the one and true church of Christ on the earth and that it is his Kingdom here on earth. I don't have an amazing conversion story to tell but I have a testimony that I am following my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through their Prophet in Their Church.

How I live my faith

I read the Book of Mormon with my family each day. My wife and I have discussions about scripture study that involve both the Book of Mormon and the Bible along with present day scripture from the current Prophets and Apostles. I say morning and evening prayers. I go to Church each Sunday and take the Sacrament to renue my Baptismal covenants. I strive to be honest and clean in mind and body because I represent both my earthly family with my wife and child but also my Heavenly Family which include my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. These are simple everyday things but are the foundation of who I am and who I want to become.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Matt Adams
There is a plan set forth with certain things that we must do in this life in order to test and prove our faith. Jesus Christ put this plan into motion and through His "Grace" brings us home after we have proven to be faithful to the few things required and seeing the desire in our heart. His grace is not only the last part but his grace is what brought the whole plan in the first place. Show more Show less
