Hi I'm Matthew James Twiggs

and I am a Latter Day Saint!

About Me

There is so much that I love to do. My main hobbies are fishing, camping, gardening, model remote control helicopters and airplanes. Too many things really. It took me about eighteen years of investigation in the LDS Church before I was finally baptized in February of 2011. My wife, whom I married in June of 2008 was a return missionary. I will be including that story in the "Why I am a Mormon" section of this page. Meeting my wife played a huge roll in Heavenly Father's plans for my life. I am currently going back to work as an Insurance Broker in the state of California. I am looking forward to getting back to my family roots so to speak. I am a third generation Insurance Broker.

Why I am a Mormon

I will be giving a full account of my Testimony soon. I am in the process of authoring it.

How I live my faith

I do all I can to make it to Church each and every Sunday. I keep the Sabbath Day holy by not working or going to stores on Sunday. I try my best to keep all the Lord's commandments. Helping other people whether members of the Church or not. Service to all of our Heavenly Father's Children.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Matthew James Twiggs
No it does not. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Matthew James Twiggs
For me, God can be seen and felt in everything. It is not only something that can be felt, but something that can be seen. When I think of how our galaxy was created, or how our universe was formed, the "big bang" just doesn't make sense. There has to be a higher power at the helm. How could it all meticulously just fall into place. Also through prayer. Ask of God with a true heart to know the truth, and you will be given an answer. Show more Show less

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Matthew James Twiggs
The Prophet is chosen by direct revelation from our Heavenly Father. It is done through fasting and prayer. There is no hierarchy that determines who the next Prophet will be. It could really be any person if the Lord so desired. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

Matthew James Twiggs
That we should keep our bodies pure and clean for the person whom we choose to marry and spend our eternal lives with. No intimate relations before marriage. This also includes that we remain loyal and monogamous to the one we choose to marry. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Matthew James Twiggs
