Hi I'm Weston

I am alive after dying from a car accident in 2014, I am a jazz guitarist, a student, a lover of how great life is and Im a Mormon

About Me

About me... Well, I am a student. In everything. If there is one thing Ive learned while being alive is that there is a lot to learn! I love learning, whether it be about math, quantum mechanics, music theory, economics, or even how to learn better! Being a student is the best occupation, and I don't ever want to stop being one. Music is easily one of my favorite pastimes. I could spend hours listening, playing, creating, or imagining music. I have, and will continue to acquire the ability to play many different musical instruments. I love experimenting with them and finding new ways to express emotion through melodic structures! Creation is I think something everyone should experience, whether it be music, architecture, sculpting, drawing, writing, management, and one that I think all should experience, and one I hope to experience myself, is the creation of a family. I believe God has given us the ability to create so that we can become co-creators with him in bringing light to his children. We all have our talents. Harnessing those talents and abilities and using them to create something new is part of living to the fullness of our creation. If God intends us to be like him, I think we need to learn how to create, within our own sphere of understanding. Life is so beautiful, especially after losing my own in 2014, and life is full of ideas waiting to be imagined, thought out, and created. I am a student, I am a composer, I am a jazz guitarist, Im a survivor, and Im a mormon

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because when I was 17 I was wondering if the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true or not, and also if the Book of Mormon was true or not. I had been reading it and I thought it was cool/uplifting, but it hit me one day that I didn't even know if I was just reading some random stuff, or if I was reading was what others were calling it "scripture". But I knew that God was real, and they told me to pray about it and even though I had put doing that, and I would just say, "yeah its true" just because everybody else I knew was saying that and I didn't want to be the odd guy out, even if I was being honest... Anyways I knelt down on my knees and asked God if what I was reading, the Book of Mormon, was true or not. I received an answer through just feeling more love than I could have ever imagined, so much that I started to cry while smiling. Ok I am not a cryer but I did and I thought wow this is true! and then the thought came to my mind, "you're just convincing yourself that it is true because you don't want to be the odd man out" and I then thought, "yeah I am probably just convincing myself of this, just cuz I wanted an answer my brain gave itself one" and then right after that thought came this thought, "Open the Book of Mormon anywhere to know if your answer was from God" so I did cuz my Book of Mormon was right there, and the scripture I read was 2Nephi 22:2 "Behold God is my salvation, I WILL TRUST AND NOT BE AFRAID..." obviously the letters in caps are the ones that stuck out to me more than any of them. I received and answer, doubted it, and then my answer turned into something that cannot be moved. I knew then, as I know now, and as I will forever know, that the Book of Mormon is true and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's one true church. It makes me smile just to say this. If you don't know don't ask people who say different things, ask God, who doesn't lie and will only say one thing for one question.

How I live my faith

I am leaving on a mission to mexico, and im a frequent attender at the lords holy temple... its the closest place to heaven on this earth and i will testify of that till the day i die

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Mormon temples are used for performing essential steps to return to our loving father in heaven for the living, and the dead. not only is it used for making sacred covenants or promises with our heavenly father and receiving amazing gifts, it is also used for personal revelation and peace. A year ago my father passed away from cancer, and every time i go to the temple i can feel his presence comforting me. There is no place on earth closer to heaven then the Temple, and it is very special to me. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Families can be together forever, I know this to be true, but the key word here is CAN, they can be forever. Think about marriages, the legal marriages say, "till death do you part" with those words being said, your contract ends at death, so with that my family wouldn't be an eternal family or a family forever because my Dad passed away from colon cancer in 2009. That would be the saddest thing, to know that my dad wouldn't be my dad after I die and not come back, But I know that my Mom and Dad were not married with just a contract that ends at death, but they were married in a "contract" with God our Heavenly Father in His house, namely one of His Temples. This "contract" is a three way promise between my Mom, my Dad and God. God wrote the contract and my Mom and Dad "signed it" the way God would have all of us "sign" it, through making a covenant with him... THAT is a contract that will never end if you LIVE the requirements that God has set to make it everlasting. I know that I am part of an eternal family, because I prayed about it, I asked God if it is true and He answered me that it is. And if you don't know let me first say that I know that there are many things out there that have plenty of what they call "facts" about all of our beliefs which may say the opposite, let me answer those facts with these questions, "God knows everything, right?" "He spoke with many people in the bible right?" "why not ask Him?" I know that He can, and will answer it. James 1:5 Show more Show less
