Hi I'm Dustin

I'm a husband, father of five, and physician. I love to waterski, scuba dive, and spend time with my wife and kids. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Alberta, Canada, but currently live in Texas and am in medical training to be a cardiologist. My job is great but the best part of my life is hanging out with my wonderful wife and kids. There is rarely a dull moment in our home! In my free time I enjoy water skiing, playing the piano, and attending sporting events.

Why I am a Mormon

With a busy career and young family, my life is often challenging, always busy, but filled with a great sense of purpose. The teachings of Jesus Christ found in the Bible and Book of Mormon have helped me understand that I am child of God, that He has a plan for me, and that I really can have a relationship with Him. I know that the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, and that we are led by a living prophet on the earth today, just as in ancient times. I also know that because of the Atonement of Christ I will be resurrected and have the opportunity to live forever with my family in God's presence. This knowledge has brought my family and I a tremendous amount of peace and happiness.

How I live my faith

Jesus taught that the two great commandments are to love God, and love your neighbor as yourself. I find that as I try to follow these two commandments, suddenly decisions about what's important in life, and how I should treat others becomes more simple. I show my love for God by doing my best to follow his commandments. I show my love for others by being kind, patient, and doing simple acts of service. I'm far from perfect but have learned that the harder I try to follow Christ's example to love and serve others, the happier I am.
