Hi I'm Clay

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in the proud sooner state of Oklahoma. I now live in Utah. I'm the youngest of 4 children and served and LDS mission in Alaska. My parents were divorced at age 10 and both re married. I'm am a type one diabetic who loves to play sports and live outside. I'm grateful for my health and the challenges I face. I love this church and know it to be true because I feel it in my mind and heart.

Why I am a Mormon

My father was a convert to the LDS faith when he met my mother years ago. He has now left the church, but I am grateful I was given the chance to experience and be born into this great gospel of Jesus Christ. I choose to follow these precepts because it holds me to a greater standard of excellence. I am a better person because of this church. I am far from perfection, but this is the only place as far as I can see, where it is the goal. To live with Him someday.

How I live my faith

I have receive answers to my prayers as i live what I believe. Anyone can know the truth of this church if they are to try it. I have gradually grown step by step by doing the small and simple things in life. Daily scripture study, prayer, and regular church attendance have strengthened my testimony. Just like a healthy diet, one must do and live what the diet requires to know and be a witness of its reality and success. No one is perfect, but the Savior Himself. His life is a witness and testimony of this truth. Also when dieting we are tempted with foods or snacks that are perhaps against the diet. Some do fall, but it can be made up with some extra work and diligence. I know for myself that this gospel is true and makes one fit for living with their Heavenly Father. It is a gospel where peace and forgiveness is a possibility.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Clay
The purpose of Temples on earth is to provide a way for those who live today and who have passed on, to experience the opportunity of eternity. Worthy members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints may enter this Holy House. Before I attended the temple for the first time I heard of "stories and rumors" from members and non members alike. The scriptures teach of temple worship. I know and testify that what takes place in the Lords temple is not a secret, but sacred. We are placed under commitments and promises that we will live worthily and serve faithfully. Also it is a test of ones obedience and faithfulness to Gods commandments. If one is obedient to the commandments of God they can know of all things. One can understand the purpose of temples more fully if they study the Restoration. The Book of Mormon plays a key role in understanding temples. Show more Show less
