Hi I'm Matt

I'm from Marland. I am a business owner and a pool technician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Maryland. I enjoy hockey, college football and wakeboarding. I have 2 children, an energetic boy and a lovable girl. I went to school at Eastern Michigan and got my degree in Business Management.

Why I am a Mormon

I was not born into a Mormon family, but I was baptised when I turned eight years old. My mother is a Mormon, but my father is not. I was always encouraged to seek out what is right for me. I always felt so comfortable and welcome in the Mormon church. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God because I have read and prayed to know it is true. I also know the Bible is the word of God. I am a Mormon because it helps me to know how I can be together with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to provide service in a number of different ways. I love that people call me when they are moving in or out of the area. I get to meet people as soon as they arrive, help them move their things into their place and take some time to get to know them. I help a few of the people in my local ward(congregation) by visiting with them about once a month to make sure that they are doing alright and I find out if they have any projects with which they could use assistance. Sometimes projects are too large for just me and I will solicit additional help from the membership of the church. It makes me feel good when we all are working together to accomplish a common goal.
