Hi I'm Bryan

A father, a husband, a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of four young children, two boys and two girls. I live in the Southwest, and work as an electrical engineer. I enjoy photography and mountain biking, though usually not at the same time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is indeed the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in its fulness. His gospel brings joy into my life. The plan our Father in heaven has for us has been restored and it provides a way for us to return to Him, bound together as families for eternity. I know I can always find comfort in Him, no matter what is going on in the world around me.

How I live my faith

I strive to live in accordance with the laws and commandments of God. I am not perfect by any means, but that is why Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, and the sins of the world. I try to be a good neighbor, and a good citizen. I feel blessed to know the gospel of Jesus Christ, and desire to share it with those who don't.

What is the priesthood?

Bryan
The Priesthood is the authority to act in God's name. It is the authority that Christ used to perform miracles during his ministry. Healing the sick, raising the dead, feeding the multitudes, were all preformed by the power of the priesthood. Worthy male members of the Church of appropriate age are ordained to offices in the priesthood, and recieve this authority. The priesthood of God is on the earth, and can be exercised in righteousness.  Show more Show less

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Bryan
Absolutely! The inhabitants of North America are some of the "other sheep... which are not of this fold" referred to in the gospel of John. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, not just the Jews whom we walked with in his mortal life. The account of the inhabitants of the America's is found in The Book of Mormon.  Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Bryan
The First Vision is an account of a young man, praying in faith about what church to join. This young man was Joseph Smith, who dersired to serve God. God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph. Joseph was told that none of the churches at that time were entiely true. The true gospel that Jesus established during his earthly ministry had been lost. This was the beginning of the restoration of the fulness of the gopsel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
