Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a Portuguese American, and grew up Massachusetts. I was a missionary for the Church in the West Indies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a computer person and am at Brigham Young University studying Physics. I enjoy playing games with friends, and hanging-out, but when there is work to be done, I enjoy working. I play the cello, and have played in several orchestras. I'm an Eagle Scout, but most of my time was spent as a Lone Scout. The Church has been a great support for me in both the good and the bad times in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Most of my life I have been alone, and have struggled a lot. Even though I was born in the Church, I never was really involved, until my teenage years. Going through the youth program in the Church provided me with the strength that I needed in order to make it though those rough times. Now that I am on a mission, I see how important it is for people to accept the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and benefit from the knowledge that it brings. I know that it is though this Gospel that everyone who is searching for true happiness, will find it. I know that Jesus Christ died for me, and it is though him that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. I love Him, and I know He's there, because I've felt His influence shape my life time and time again. This knowledge has provided to me with the ability to combat any of life's challenges.

How I live my faith

Growing up in the Church allowed me to lead a group of young men my age for all my teenage years. I have also served the Church by coordinating teaching in the Branch, or group of members of the Church in our community. When I was at college I organised efforts to index names of people who had died long ago, in order for people to find their ancestors, and allow them to receive the saving ordinances of baptism, confirmation, etc. There I also coordinated efforts for teaching, and also visited with members of the church, and made sure that their needs were being met. Overall, I have served a lot of people, in a lot of different ways, both living and dead. On my mission, I taught the gospel, full time, and loved the work!
