Hi I'm Al

I Work hard, I love my family, I enjoy life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife of 41 years and I are empty nesters. At my employment, I serve in two capacities. I serve as a Technician Lead and also as Plant Safety Coordinator. I enjoy my work, but I also enjoy my time off. I enjoy sports, traveling, and especially family. My wife and I try to attend any events or activities that our children or grandchildren are involved with. We consider our family as our most important accomplishment, and at the same time, our most important continuing responsibility.

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus is the Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the World. I love the Bible and it tells of another volume of ancient scripture that testifies of Jesus Christ. That book is the Book of Mormon and it is the Word of God and it testifies of Jesus Christ more than any other book . The Book of Mormon contains 531 pages, and 507 of those pages mention either God the Father, his Son Jesus Christ, or both. I know the Book of Mormon is true because I have read it and prayed to know the truth of it as we are admonished in Moroni 10:4&5. I have prayed with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Jesus Christ and God the Eternal Father has manifested the truth of the Book of Mormon unto me by the power of the Holy Ghost . One of the most powerful passages of scripture in the Book of Mormon (at least to me) is 2 Nephi 33: 10-11------ it states: 10 And now, my beloved brethren, and also Jew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and believe in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall believe in Christ ye will believe in these words, for they are the words of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they teach all men that they should do good. 11 And if they are not the words of Christ, judge ye—for Christ will show unto you, with power and great glory, that they are his words, at the last day; and you and I shall stand face to face before his bar; and ye shall know that I have been commanded of him to write these things, notwithstanding my weakness. The Book of Mormon was written by ancient Prophets on the American continent and covers a period from approximately 600 B.C. to about 421 A.D. Because the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith (who translated the Book of Mormon) was a Prophet of God and was given the authority to organize Jesus Christ's Church once again upon the earth.

How I live my faith

Because we have no paid clergy in our Church, everyone serves willingly without monetary compensation. We have the priviledge of serving with so many wonderful people who serve so unselfishly. I am truly amazed and humbled by the goodness of people. Our service is but a small part of a much larger picture. Though we receive no monetary compensation, our lives are richly blessed.
