Hi I'm Kory Roisum

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life and try to seize every opportunity to enjoy and make the most out of it. I am currently a college student, studying business and trying to get through school and prepare myself for a career in the business world. I love to play sports, really doesn't matter which sport. However I really love to play basketball and soccer. I really love basketball, whether its watching, talking or playing basketball, I just love it. I am the oldest brother of 6 kids. I love my little brothers and sisters even though at times they can be a challenge to deal with but they are awesome and so full of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know and feel that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. When I was 13 I was passing through some rough times and I was doubting everything I had been taught and everything i thought I knew to be true. I was in a state of hopelessness and despair and I just remember kneeling down to pray and to ask God for help and to let me know if He was there and if these things were true and I received the biggest relief and comfort came over me. My despair and hopelessness was swiped away and replaced with hope, faith, and peace in my soul. At that moment I knew that these things which I had learned all these years were true and that God does live and I am His son and that He loves and watches over me. Nine years later and a mountain or two overcome, I cling to my Father in Heaven and His church because I know it is the only way to be happy in this life and the only way to be with Him and my family after death.

How I live my faith

I absolutely love living my faith and I seek opportunities to share my faith and to do good in the community. I try to help those around me at all times and to be an example to others and help them make right choices. I teach the youth of our church located in Hannibal, MO. It is a wonderful opportunity to be with them and not only share my experiences and teach them but also to learn from them and their faith. It is a marvelous experience helping the youth and serving others. Another way I live my faith is by keeping the commandments of our Heavenly Father. It gives me the opportunity to draw close to Him and it increases my love for others and my capacity to serve and help His children here upon the earth. I love this gospel so much and I love living its teachings and I know that God blesses those who live His gospel. The gospel is open to all of God's children and He wants all to return to His presence and this is why I love serving, helping, and sharing the faith I have.
