Hi I'm Kathryn

I am a daughter, sister, designer, photographer, friend and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have a passion for creativity and love create something unique. Photography would be a hobby I have along with baking the best cookies EVER. I love to be around people go to the movies and enjoy a good piece of cake.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blest to have known about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' my whole life. My Grandparents were introduced to the gospel by two young missionaries in South Africa. They found peace and truth and decided to join. My father joined after he had met my mother and they had had their first child. They were married in the Temple for all time and eternity when I was born and a few years later my little brother was born. As I participated in church youth programs I started to develop a testimony of the truthfulness of prayer. I had many answers to my prayers that led me to search for many more answers. I finished school and went to University where I stopped going to church on a regular basis. I thought I could do it on my own and was big enough to figure it out. I went on exchange to Europe where I found myself needing my Heavenly Fathers help. After returning home I still struggled with my faith. I graduated from University and found a job away from home. With loving guidance I returned to church. It had been over 3yrs since I had felt that peace in my life. I received so many blessings that led me to prepare to serve a full time Mission. I spent 18months serving my Saviour Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. I had a change of heart which led me to find my testimony and strength in the Atonement of Jesus Christ and His gospel. Today I live each day with the blessings of the Gospel. It's something I have chosen to live because I have tested the teachings. It's a way of life that brings the sweetest joy and greatest happiness to my life. I know that this is the Church of Jesus Christ. I know that He loves me. I know my Heavenly Father loves me as His daughter.

How I live my faith

My faith is the center of my life. I have felt the blessings change my life and bring me closer to my Saviour and my Father in Heaven. I serve in my congregation as a teacher of 6-7yr olds. Weekly I share the teachings of Jesus Christ to help them love their family and friends, to pray to Heavenly Father daily and to respect their parents. They challenge me with tough questions about this world and I hope to give them the best answer to prepare them for the challenges they will face. They have helped me to learn patience and love and have opening my eyes to future motherhood. I also teach a group of excited and devoted young adults who are preparing to be missionaries. They share with me their faith in Jesus Christ as we study the gospel. They will soon serve in various parts of this world teaching all the gospel of Jesus Christ. I served as a full-time Missionary in Brisbane and learnt how the lives of so many can be enriched with service and charity. I visit on a monthly basis women in my community who love to talk about children, recipes, events and husbands. I live my faith by upholding standards taught to me when I was young. I live my faith by example.
