Hi I'm Courtney

I grew up in Tucson, AZ. I'm excited to be a new mom! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was recently married for time and all eternity in the Mesa, AZ Temple to my best friend in the entire world. I am loving every moment of married life and am learning so much about myself and my husband. I love reading, playing the piano, and singing. I love to learn about the human body! It is a miraculous thing. I also, kind of randomly, like to organize things. I love spring time and the happiness that the sun and change in weather brings out in people! I love my family. I am the oldest of five children. I am the only girl and have four younger brothers who I love and adore.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon or rather a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that this church is Christ's church. I was 11 when I first gained a knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel that is preached in this church. I knew without a doubt that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, but I didn't know or really have a belief in anything else....until I went to my first girls camp. I was pondering during the testimony meeting and realized that if I knew that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, then I in turn knew that the Book of Mormon was the word of God that it was another testament of Jesus Christ. And if I knew that Joseph Smith was a true prophet then I also knew that we still have a living prophet on the earth today who leads and guides the church under the direction of a loving Father in Heaven. And it spiraled on and on until I knew without any doubt in my mind that everything I had been taught my entire life was the truth.

How I live my faith

Church is not just a Sunday activity for me, but it's the way that I live all the time. Everyday I make the effort to read my scriptures and pray. Everyday I try to take the time to slow down, to think of others and give of myself. Everyday I remember that I am a child of God and that I am trying to get back to him.
