Hi I'm brittni

i'm a double-dutcher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

the sweet joys that encompass my life include viewing/creating art, getting active by running/playing basketball/swimming/riding my lovely road bike, spending time with those that i love, expanding my vocabulary, listening to fantastical melodies, partaking of eloquent literature, seeking after and enjoying delicious food, and not only learning about, but practicing my religion and letting my love for God and Jesus Christ grow.

Why I am a Mormon

Although i have grown up in the LDS faith, there came a point in my life, as each of us must come to, where i gained my own personal witness of the divinity of Jesus Christ and of His church that has been restored to the earth. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me an eternal happiness that does not solely last for the time we are here on earth, but through the eternities. I am a Mormon because i have experienced the joy that has been a direct result of having faith in Jesus Christ, repenting, being baptized, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and striving to happily endure to end. I am a Mormon because I love my Havenly Father and want to align my will with His. I am a Mormon because i have been filled from head to toe with the love of my Savior. I am a Mormon because i know that God is the same yesterday/today/forever. I am a Mormon because i have felt of my divine nature and destiny. I am a Mormon because I know that my family can be sealed together, never to be undone, throughout eternity. I am a Mormon because i seek happiness in this life and in the world to come. I am Mormon because i have felt the redeeming nature of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and want to follow in every single one of His footsteps.

How I live my faith

When we apply the knowledge we are given, we are exercising our faith and essentially, we are living it. I strive to live my faith by being an 'example of the believers,' by living through and for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that my hope lies in the cleansing power of the Atonement and in the knowledge that we can become like and live with our Heavenly Father. In becoming like my Savior, I try to serve/spread love/give/smile/invite the Spirit into my life/go about doing good/look into the eyes of my my fellowmen long enough to see them as children of God. I try to be like Jesus Christ.
