Hi I'm Adam

I am a father of four, a lawyer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing golf, though I usually only have time to play if my firm is sponsoring a best ball tournament during the work week. Weekends are for the family. I love getting involved in my community and supporting local worthwhile charities. A client took me up in his 4-seater airplane recently, and I think I found my future hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I believe that it is God's restored church on earth. I believe that God called Joseph Smith to be a prophet in 1820 just like he did Moses, Abraham, and Isaiah in pervious times. I believe that the priesthood authority to operate God's work is in the Chuch today. I believe that the Book of Mormon is what it says it is, that is another testament of Jesus Christ. I believe that God continues to speak to His prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, in order to prepare the world for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

In my home I study the scriptures regularily, hold daily prayer with my family, and teach my children to follow the Savior. In my community I try to be an honest employee, a considerate supervisor, and support uplifting entertainment and worthy causes. In my local church congregation, I am currently serving as the Bishop. I have previously worked with the young men's organization and have been a Cubmaster in our local cub scout group.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Adam
We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it has been translated correctly. The Book of Mormon is a record of prophets called of God to teach people in a different part of the world. The Book of Mormon supports the Bible as an additional witness that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. I encourage all honest seekers of truth to find out for themselves whether God has spoken to more than one group of people on the earth. Show more Show less
