Hi I'm Glenn

I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in Idaho but I have found many other beautiful places in this world.

About Me

I am a retired building contractor, constructing commercial and industrial facilities for over 30 years. I was a private pilot and loved to fly both helicopters and airplanes. I quit flying when some health issues suggested it was time to stop. I am a grandfather and love my children and grandchildren with all my heart. My wife and I love to travel- recently to the southern cities of South America and to the islands of Antarctica. Wow!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe the most important question in life is "Why?" I cannot believe that we are here by accident or without purpose. The gospel of Jesus Christ answers my basic questions of why I am on earth and what I should be doing to make this life mean something. Answers to questions far beyond these basic ones are shown to me as I study the scriptures and try to follow God's plan each day. I still have many things to learn about my Heavenly Father, my Savior and my relationship to them, but this much I know: God lives, Jesus Christ completed an atoning sacrifice for all God's children and if I do the best I can to be obedient, His grace is sufficient for my fulfillment here and my salvation hereafter.

How I live my faith

We recently had a neighborhood meeting and discussed the issues of our subdivision. I noted that we each did our best to keep our yards presentable and keep the neighborhood clean. We mow each others yards when needed. We keep the roadway clear of drifted snow during winter. We watch out for each others children. Being a good neighbor is the practice of following Jesus Christ. Serving our brothers and sisters, siblings by birth or faith or by neighborhood, is just what Jesus did. Living our faith is about obedience to the commandments. It is about receiving the ordinances of salvation. It is also about making this beautiful world a little bit better by the things we do for others.

What is the priesthood?

The greatest tool a father can have to bless and guide his family. All prophets living in scriptural times used their priesthood as a blessing for themselves and more importantly, for their family. We only get one chance at parenthood- I'm grateful to have the priesthood to help me be a better father in our home. Show more Show less

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

The perilous times that the apostle Paul mentioned are here. As evil grows in the world, the righteous in heart seek answers to foundation questions. The gospel of Jesus Christ resides in it's fulness in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As people learn the principles taught in the LDS Church, they long to be a part of it.
