Hi I'm Lynne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 3 boys, fine young men, my middle son now living with the Lord, along with his dad, my dear husband. I love my family with all my heart. I also love our little cairn terrier. I love movies, love to bake, enjoy doing things with my boys, getting together with my mom, and enjoy big family get-togethers with the rest of my family. I joined the church after the birth of my 3rd son. I enjoy being part of a church ward family, strengthening and helping each other. I have total love for, and faith in, God our Heavenly Father and His son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the church. I love what the church has taught my family, and continues to teach us. I love knowing my family can be an eternal family. I also love the morals and great strong family values it teaches all. The various youth activities/programs offered my boys and others while growing up have been great, along with the Relief Society offered for the women, teaching love and charity. I believe that Joseph Smith was chosen by our Heavenly Father to bring back His church in our time, giving us the fullness of the Gospel, so that we could learn while here on earth, and return to live with our Heavenly Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ someday. We are also led by a living Prophet today, receiving revelation from the Lord in our present time. I believe that as the church teaches us, through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and on our part through baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, through repentence and righteous living, showing respect, love, charity and kindness to each other, through obeying the Lord's commandments, and through the many blessings of Temple Ordinances, families can be together here on earth for time, as well as forever for all eternity. Our family has never all been on this earth at the same time however, through the sealing ordinances of the Temple, we can all be together as an eternal family, living with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ...the ultimate blessing!

How I live my faith

I strive to be a great mom, daughter, and sister. I try to be a good example for my family through church attendance and going to the Temple and living the gospel. I strive to do my best in church, having served in such positions as Primary Teacher for little ones, as a Cub Scout Den Mother, as Church Librarian, and now most recently as a Ward Missionary, fellowshipping with single sisters and others. I also serve as a Visiting Teacher to dear sisters in the church. I live my life honestly, help others, and show respect, love, and kindness to those around me. I truly believe that this life is a test...that we are here to serve others, to follow the Lord's commandments, to live life to experience joy, sadness and other emotions, to learn while we're here, and then to someday return to our Heavenly Father with a "job well done"!  I try to live my life in a manner in which my Heavenly Father would be pleased.

Are Mormons Christians?

Definitely!!! We are members of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". We're often referred to as "Latter Day Saints", or "LDS". We believe in God our Heavenly Father, in His son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost!  Show more Show less
