Hi I'm Deon

I work at home running after three little boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm generally a very happy person. I love what I do which is being a full time mom. Now, I never said that was easy, it's not but I do love it and I learn something new at least once a day--sometimes more. I love my family and hope that I can support them in the ways that they need it. I feel love and supported in my life and I feel like I have been led in my life by a loving Heavenly Father. He guides my day to day experiences and I love that I know that. I'm what they call middle aged now. I was single till I was 35 and some think that is late but I guess I am a late bloomer! I feel like my life has gone just the way it should even though it isn't even close to what I imagined.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the principals that I have learned about. I know God lives and that he loves me, I know Jesus Christ atoned for my sins. I know they both appeared to a boy named Joseph Smith in a grove of trees to answers very important questions for him and all mankind. I know that God is a loving Heavenly Father and wants to provide answers to his children. I know that we lived before this life and that our lives will continue after our bodies wear out and die. I need to have a road to travel that I believe in and that I know will refine me so that I can live with God again someday. I need to be able to repent and change and know that Christ is there to help me move through that daily process. I love this Gospel, it makes me happy. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

This is always a work in progress but I do try to do my best at serving and being a good example to others.  I am responsible to plan events for the group of sisters in our church. We come together once a month and learn new things. Sometimes these things are related to improving how we live, sometimes we talk about spiritual things that help us in that refining process that is so necessary. I also have three sisters that I visit every month. I get to know them and understand their needs and help them with things in their lives. This part of our church has meant a lot to me in the last couple of years. I have recently moved and that can be difficult to find new friends and feel like you have things to keep busy with besides unpaking, this has helped me to feel needed and involved.
