Hi I'm Julie G.

I am a mother, wife and teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother and homeschooler to 3 active boys. I like to make cards and other crafts. My favorite games are Scrabble, Rummikub, Trouble and 42 a dominoes game. I love the sunshine and being outside, especially riding my bike. I love laughing with my siblings while we watch our kids have fun together. I hope to go on a mission with my husband when he retires.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church, but became inactive after graduating from high school. I didn't become truly converted until I had my first child in my early twenties. I knew that I wanted him to be raised with the same values I had growing up so I returned to church activity. Slowly my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel grew through reading the Book of Mormon, praying, attending church and following the commandments. I come from a family of 7 children and am the only one active in the church. I feel that being the only one of my siblings to have a testimony of the gospel is a gift I have been given, so I am careful to do the things I should to keep and grow my testimony. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon and that reading it brings me closer to my Savior. I know that the covenants that I've made in the temple will allow me to be with my sister that died as an infant. I know that I am a child of God and my actions here on earth need to reflect that knowledge. The gospel brings me blessings both temporal and spiritual, and because of the things that I have been blessed with I will spend the rest of my life trying to become who my Heavenly Father wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I am a cub scout den leader. I have recently learned how to do family history work and enjoy finding my ancestors. I love to spend time in the temple.
