Hi I'm Scott

I'm a cancer survivor, a musician, a college student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a Mormon my whole life. I love music and I play the piano, trumpet and guitar. I also love to read and am pursuing a college degree in English. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at 13 and underwent numerous surgeries and treatments. I am now cancer-free!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have a firm conviction that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that His gospel has been restored in these latter days. I know that we have a prophet of God to lead us today, Thomas S. Monson, and that if we follow him we can receive all the blessings of happiness and peace that the gospel offers. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and reading it brings people closer to Jesus Christ. This knowledge blesses my life on a daily basis and helps me endure challenges.

How I live my faith

I recently returned from a 2-year mission to preach the gospel and it was an incredibly fulfilling experience. Now, I am looking for ways to share the gospel with others in my life. I am also serving those around me the best I can.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Scott
The best way to increase faith in Jesus Christ is to learn of Him and then do what He asks of us. Faith is a principle of action, so if we do our best to keep the commandments, love God, and serve others, our faith will naturally increase. It is also essential to study the gospel in the holy scriptures and pray daily. I've seen in my life that when I follow these guidelines my faith is strengthened. Show more Show less
