Hi I'm Heather

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Heather. My first love is the mountains. I love to be outdoors, whether it be hiking, skiing or just laying in a field of grass. I love music, running and being with the people I love. I am a college student studying Elementary Education. I love kids and can't wait to be a teacher. I love to learn and I love to laugh. And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ means everything to me. I was born into the church, with two loving parents who taught me about the plan that my Father in Heaven has for each one of us. Like everyone must, I went through a period of doubt when I was seeking to know for myself if what I have been taught was true. I wanted to know if I was living my life like God wanted me two, and even if there was a God out there who cared about me in my insignificance. I wanted to know if the church was true. I prayed and prayed to know the answer. It seemed as though I would never get an answer and would remain in a state of wondering. However, when the answer finally came it came as a warm feeling and an assurance that my prayers had indeed been answered. I just had not recognized it. From this experience and many more I can stand and say that I know that God lives. I know that he sent his son, Jesus Christ, to pay for the sins of the world. I know he lived and continues to live and is concerned in the matters of our every day life. I know that this is his true church on the earth and that happiness is truly found by living by its precepts and seeking to become more like Jesus Christ. I want to be able to say one day that I became even a little like my savior. I choose to live this gospel because I have only ever felt truly happy while doing so and I know it can be the same for others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing as I have been taught. As a college student I have the opportunity to learn for myself how I can live what I believe in everyday life.
