Hi I'm Adam

I grew up in California in a great family. I have my own law practice. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Generations ago, my early Mormon ancestors were pioneers who migrated across the great plains to seek religious freedom and become part of the settling of the west. Growing up Mormon in California was the result of that early pioneer heritage and left me with a desire to explore the other great places of the United States. I have since reverse migrated to the east coast and now live in the beautiful and busy area of Northern Virginia. Since moving east, I finished my formal education, built a small law practice and recently married a wonderful woman who brings great happiness into my life. While I spend a good deal of time in my profession representing those who are charged with violating the law, I also take time to actively serve in the church, keep up with friends and work in our garden. I am grateful for the strong examples of others who have blessed my life and inspire me to keep maturing in all areas.

Why I am a Mormon

While both sides of my family have been Mormon for generations, I have not been content to live my religion on their pioneer faith. I have worked to develop my own personal belief and testimony of Jesus Christ. I have found deep, abiding happiness in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through practicing my faith, I have come to know about Him a little better and work to become a little more like Him through the power of His grace. When Christ was on the earth, He taught His disciples many things. He taught them through His teachings and through His perfect example, the importance of living a good, principled life. As a member of His church, I have made promises which help me to become more like Him. Jesus also taught and demonstrated the importance of serving others and being kind. As a member of His church, I have many opportunities to develop qualities of kindness and love through serving others. His church on the earth today functions through the assistance of the service provided by all its members. As I have served in His church, I have felt a sense of belonging, purpose and unity and have felt God's grace to stretch me to become more than I otherwise am.

How I live my faith

In my life, I have had many opportunities to show my faith by how I live. Church and religion are more than a Sunday activity, but a way of living every day. One memorable experience was the opportunity to serve a two year mission for the Church in the beautiful country of Italy. I had the opportunity to share my beliefs with others and the joy living the gospel has brought to my life. This experience at the early age of 19 years old helped to lay a foundation for future service within the Church. Through many different opportunities to serve others through teaching and building others' faith, I have deepened my own testimony of Jesus Christ and of His Church. My faith is strengthened as I take time to study Christ's teachings through His words and the words of His prophets found in sacred scriptures like the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. As I read and ponder His words and seek Him in prayer, I feel the influence of His spirit which helps me feel connected to the deeper meanings of life and to know that life continues after all pass through death.
