Hi I'm Kathryn

I'm a Daughter. I'm a Sister. I'm an Aunt. I'm a College Student. I'm a Missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love photography and fashion. I am single and I have two siblings. I am currently a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. I will return to college when I complete my missionary service. I worked full time before my service as a missionary and I was a clothing buyer and assistant department manager for a store!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints and I was always taught by loving parents that it was important to go to church and to pray and keep the commandments. There comes a time in life when we have to find out on our own if the things we are doing are really true and if the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints is truly Christ's church again on the Earth. I have prayed many times to be led to the knowledge of this truth. The reason why I continued to go to church is because the Holy Spirit has told me many times that Christ's church is truly on the Earth again today and that the authority to act in God's name lies within the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints. This feeling is a feeling of complete joy and gratitude that I feel in my heart!

How I live my faith

As a missionary for the Mormon Church I currently do a lot of teaching. I teach about the Church that Christ himself set up when he was on the Earth and that Christ's church is again on the Earth today in it's fullness. Before I became a missionary I served with the women in the church. I organized activities for all of us in the congregation to go to together as women. I was very close to these women and I always tried to make sure that they were always individually looked after.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Kathryn
In Mormon temples we are able to make promises with God. We are able to receive instruction of where we were before this life, why we are here, and where we are going after this life. There is nothing secret that goes on in the temple. Ultimately we want everyone to make it to the temple, but things done in the temple are not talked about outside of the building because they are so sacred. The temple is truly the House of the Lord and that is why it is counted so sacred. Only some Mormons are allowed to enter into the temple because we have to be keeping God's commandments in order to enter his house. We have to be clean and worthy to enter the temple, just as we have to be clean and worthy to enter into the presence of God and Jesus Christ after this life. We want all to enter into the house of the Lord because it is there that we are able to be sealed to our families for eternity! All who want to enter into the house of the Lord must have Faith in Jesus Christ, they must be repenting, they have to be baptized by the proper authority, they have to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, and they have to be obeying all of God's commandments. Going to the temple is ultimately the place where we can feel the most peace and comfort in this life and it is where we can be close to God! Going to the temple regularly has changed my life and it has allowed me to feel of God's love for me. Show more Show less
