Hi I'm Katrina

I am a college student who loves life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a family with loving parents who raised me and taught me about the truthfulness of the church. I also have a wonderful supportive extended family who strives to be better. They help me be better and want to be better. I also am married to a supportive and loving husband. I recently graduated from college. I majored Earth Science Education and can't wait to start teaching! I love singing, baking, and creating with my scrap booking supplies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a loving family who taught me the importance of living the standards of the Lord. I was baptized at age 8. As I grew, I learned how to trust in the Lord in every aspect of my life. I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church on earth. I know that Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ live and love each and every person on this earth. I know that I am literally a daughter of a loving Father in Heaven. I know He gives me trials and tests to help me learn and grow into the person He would have me become. I know Christ fulfilled the Atonement so we could return to live with our Father in Heaven and our families. Life is greater when I remember the blessings and truthfulness of this church. The more I live the more I see the Lord's hand in my life, and the better I want to be.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday, my husband and I get to teach a class of energetic 8 year olds. We teach them about Jesus Christ. It is so rewarding to teach our class. We love to sing songs and play games to help them learn. I am grateful for the things the teach me each Sunday, especially how to be more Christ-like.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Katrina
No. Men have a priesthood responsibility to serve a 2 year full time mission. Sometimes due to health, some men are not able to serve. Young men typically serve missions at the age of 19 years old. Many young women also serve as faithful missionaries. Because a woman's responsibility is to her family they are not required to serve. If a young woman is 21 and unmarried she has the option of serving a full time mission. Show more Show less
