Hi I'm Kim

I am a wife, a mother, I believe in miracles and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I got married in my late twenties to a man that was exactly who I did not know that I wanted to marry. I thank Heavenly Father every day that he refined me by waiting to marry until I was ready to see whom I really needed to be with. We work well together and strengthen each other as we go through happy times and hard times. Building a family has not been easy for us but we have faith and so far have been blessed with a beautiful child through fertility treatments. We experienced joy and heartache along the way as we went through a confirmed pregnancy and then an awful miscarriage. After more time and more treatments we were able to get pregnant again and through a very rough pregnancy and multiple threatened miscarriages we were finally blessed with a healthy baby. I love being with my family and enjoy seeing the world through the eyes of a child. I also enjoy being out with horses and enjoy riding them in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints because I chose to be. I feel that if I am to be my best self that the teachings of this church will help me to be that way. Also, all of us are going to face hardships and trials. I would much rather go through them with the companionship of the Holy Ghost than without. My conversion is a day to day process through the challenges in my life (being single in Utah, infertility and miscarriages, it has been hard and I have asked...why me? I have faith and I am doing whats right! I have learned that not always are we blessed at the time we want things but the Lord will blesses us with all things as we turn our will over to him and follow him. Elder Maxwell stated, "Faith in God include Faith in His Timing". I truly believe that and know that the Lord has our best interests in mind. I have been through my own kilns in life that have made me into a strong believer and follower of Christ. Life is not easy but it can be filled with joy as we serve others and make the time to help and lift each other.

How I live my faith

The greatest thing I have ever done is to be a friend. We all need them and long for them. I serve in the woman's group in my congregation (this is one of the largest women organization) and enjoy getting to know the sisters and hear their stories. We have so much to learn from each other and each other circumstances whether we are members of the same church or not. People are people and I feel that the more we treat each other that way the deeper our faith is. We truly become like Jesus Christ as we become invested in each other. Thankfully we each are different and serve in different ways because I have been strengthened by those who are very different from me. As I get to know them this in turn strengthens my faith and desire to follow Christ. He is truly invested in us.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Kim
We are asked to our wear our best to church not for anyone else but to show respect to our Savior Jesus Christ and His church. Sunday best is different for all of us according to our circumstance. I am just happy to see all people at church. I love to find any reason to celebrate so I celebrate all holidays and find reasons each day to find happiness and joy. Show more Show less
