Hi I'm Dale Metcalf

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired Associate Professor Emeritus of the University of Virginia, married with ten children, 59 grandchildren and over 100 great grandchildren. We have in our large posterity essentially a church ward and the way things are growing, we may have a stake before too long. I love my families as well as my LDS religion. I was baptised and ordained a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on October 1st, 1928 which has been a great blessing to me, my wife and all our children. This has brought us all great happiness, peace and well-being. I suggest that you might consider listening to the mormon missionaries next time you get a change. This may change your life especially if you read the Book of Mormon and put its teaching to the test. In World War II, I credit the Book of Mormon for saving my life as I followed its teaching and was protected by the Lord as I served in combat in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany. we have ess3entially

How I live my faith

I don't use alcohol, tea, coffee or tobacco or any drugs and eat mostly fruits and vegables and as a result I am hardly ever sick.. I accept callings in the church and go to church every Sunday and never shop on Sunday. I study the scriptures especially the Book of Mormon and the Bible and the words of the living prophets today. I have been doing taxes for widows, low income people and people over 60 years old free for the past thirteen years at the local Senior Center. I very much enjoy this community service. "We make a living by what we get while we make a life by what we give".
