Hi I'm Heidi

I live in the state of Washington with my husband and two children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of two children. I feel newly married though it has been 5 years already. Before I met my husband I attended college and graduated with a BS. I loved to run, and compete is sports. I also love the outdoors. Growing up my family hiked and camped every sunny weekend, and even some of the rainy ones too.

Why I am a Mormon

Becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the best decision of my life. While I attended high school I knew many people who were members of the church, and I even had a few close friends that were members. I respected their values and beliefs, but I never felt inclined to learn more about the church they belonged to. In college I began to realize that some people were saying things that were not correct about mormons and their beliefs. I knew it was not right because of the friends I had in high school. I knew just enough to know what was not right, but I didn't know enough to say was mormons did believe. As I met with the missionaries I felt humbled and learned they knew far more about Jesus Christ and his Gospel than I did. After some time I was still unsure if the Church of Jesus Christ was God's true church. So I prayed and studied a lot, and an amazing experience happened. I felt the answer to my prayers. An overwhelming feeling came over me that Heavenly Father loves ME, and that I have found Him and His True Church. I felt like a lost child that had been found. I felt joy that I know came from Him and that I can't fully put to words. I felt as though I was wrapped in his loving arms and I never wanted to leave them, and I decided I wanted to be baptized. I have now been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ for 8 years. It has been Such a blessing. I feel of my Savior's love as I keep praying and studying in his Gospel. He leads me, and teaches me all the things that I need to do as a mother, wife, friend, and daughter of God. I would be lost without him and the church, and I know that the Lord will bless me and my family as we strive to do our best to follow Him. I am not perfect, and I have made mistakes, but I know Jesus Christ is my Savior, and with Him I know I can make it home again to Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I work with the children in our church and help them to learn about Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I love the work and feel of Heavenly Father's love for the children. I am constantly amazed by how much the children know and by their sweet little spirits. They inspire me to follow our Savior every day.
