Hi I'm Julia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

What do you say here? Um... HI! My name is Julia. I was born in Germany, and grew up in Utah. I am the oldest of four. I played basketball in High School. Went to college for a while. Served a mission in Houston Texas, Spanish speaking! And had the most amazing experiences that changed me and the way my life would be for forever! I served a mission in order to help other people come unto Christ. But I never expected how much it would change me. As I learned more about my Father and Savior, the more I began to change and become a different person. I bear testimony that the light of Christ is real, and that it has the power to change people, and to make them into something that no one else in this world has the ability to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose it. There are a million things I could do or be instead, but I choose to be a Mormon. And I love the freedom that comes from that decision! I've often been told that my faith is restricting and that it keeps me from being able to live and to have fun and enjoy my life. But in reality, I find that I have more freedom. By choosing to keep the commandments of God, so many more opportunities are available to me. I'm so grateful for the peace of mind that comes with the choices I make each and every day as I strive to follow my Savior.

How I live my faith

Now, a little over a year and a half later, I am living in Switzerland, fulfilling my dream to become a Pastry Chef. I always thought it would be so cool to learn how to make delicious European desserts and treats, and then to start my own business, making and selling them for others to enjoy, but I never had the courage to actually do it. But through my faith in the Lord, and his support, I've been able to achieve so much more than I ever could have done on my own. The Lord's hand is everywhere in my life. I would be lost and unsure without Him. I strive everyday to direct my thoughts towards Him. To make sure to thank him when he helps me get through a difficult day. Gratitude is one of the greatest gifts, and I find I am a much happier person when I thank Him for all of the things he's done for me and given me. He is there for us, and will help us with everything! We just have to be ready to receive it.
