I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a pretty simple guy who enjoys having fun especially if it involves other people. Playing games or sports such as football, frisbee, soccer, or volleyball are a few of my favorite things. I also enjoy reading when I have free time. I am working two jobs and saving all the money I can to get myself through college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon but didn't really become Mormon until I started studying the scriptures and following Christ. During an extremely difficult time in my life I was debating on whether or not to be Mormon but when I started praying fervently and reading the Book of Mormon I felt my life change and knew that being a Mormon was the right thing to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking to help others. I also do things like pray, study the scriptures, and go to church.

What is the First Vision?

There was a young man named Joseph Smith. He thought a lot about religion and wanted to do the right thing. He was looking to find a church that taught only truth but as He would go to different churches they would all teach different things even though they were using the same Bible. He searched hard but didn't come to any conclusion until one day when He read in James 15 in the Bible, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him." He read this and decided to ask God which church to join since God knows all and Joseph Smith Knew God would answer him. So Joseph Smith went to a small groove of trees and prayed. This is when God and His Son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and told him to join none of the churches because none of them had the priesthood since it had been lost with the death of the apostles Jesus Christ called when He organized his church centuries ago. This is the First Vision and lead to the restoration of Jesus Christ's church here on the earth. Show more Show less
