Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a mom. I'm a wife. I'm a golfer. I'm a cook. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I never realized how much mom my did for me until I had my first kid. Who knew that I would never sleep through the night again! I'm a Montanan at heart, but we currently live in California. I have a great husband, who is the most hilarious person I've ever met and three fantastic children. I've worked on the side as a Real Estate Agent, but once our third child came, I have been able to stay home with the kids. I love sports. Golf, basketball, football, you name it. My husband and I did our first Triathalon last summer. (We're not the crazy-workout all the time kind of people, we just wanted to see it we could do it.) It was hard, but it was worth it. I love to cook. I really love to cook. I will use any excuse to try out a new recipe. My kids love roasted brussel sprouts (oh yeah, they like cookies and cupcakes, too.)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon simply because I have prayed to know the truth. I've read the Bible, the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if they are true. I've prayed to know if Jesus Christ is my Savior and if the Gospel has been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I've prayed to a loving Heavenly Father and he has let me "know the truth of all things" through the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I've learned the more I serve, the happier I am. We believe that we are on this earth to learn and progress and become more Christlike. I am never happier than when I am humble, caring, selfless and full of charity.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Amanda
Absolutely! We believe that God is "no respecter of persons", he cares as much for us today as he did for those in ancient times. God speaks to us today, and he does that through modern day prophets, like President Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less
