Hi I'm David

I'm a husband and third year medical student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in my third year of medical school and planning on specializing in surgery. I am the oldest of seven kids. My wife and I both grew up in the western United States and now find ourselves in the Midwest. I love learning languages and can speak Spanish, Dutch and Papiamento. I look forward to every winter so that I can go skiing. I go running year round to relax and keep myself fit.

Why I am a Mormon

I was privileged to be born into a family where my parents were faithful followers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They raised me to understand and believe the Gospel and to be a faithful member of His Church. However, as every child raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I had to come to believe for myself that what my parents had taught me was true.

How I live my faith

Every week I volunteer with Big Brothers, Big Sisters mentoring a sixth grade ESL student during his lunch hour. I also volunteer twice a month at a free medical clinic for local Hispanics. In Church, I am the secretary for the local bishop and try to schedule his time so that he can meet with and help all of those who would like his help. Overall, I try to be friendly to everyone I meet and help them feel the love of God through my kindness.
