Hi I'm Jason

I like camping, hiking, building off-road cars, and riding quads, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm a 20 year old single guy. I spend a lot of my time out doors. Camping, Hiking, and riding quads. I also Like to do mechanics, build off-road cars and travel. I spend a lot of time with my family and hanging out with friends. I love movies and going out on dates. I'm the youngest of 4 kids 2 boys, 2 girls. For a career I plan on opening a motorcycle dealership called Moore Power motorsports. I'm a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members so I grew up in the church. But there are still many reasons why I am a Mormon. I've tried different churches and none of them got me nearly as close to God as the LDS church. I know that the LDS church is the only true church on the earth and the way that I know it is that I've prayed about it and I've had the spirit witness to me that this church is true. It is also the only church on the Earth today that has a living Prophet that speaks with God and helps us to know the things we should do.

How I live my faith

I spent two years of my life as a Missionary, telling all who would listen that God lives, Jesus is the Christ and that there are living Prophets on the Earth today. Now I do service around my community and try to help others come to know of the blessings that I've recieved.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Jason
The Book of Mormon is a volume of holy scrpiture similar to the Bible. It does not however in anyway replace the Bible. we believe both to be the word of God. The Book of Mormon starts with a prophet living in Jerusalem about 600 B.C. He is commanded by the lord to take his family and leave Jerusalem because it will soon be destroyed. He takes his family and they travel into the desert they eventually reach the ocean where they construct a ship and then with help from God sail here to the Americas. The Book of Mormon is a history of their decendents here on the American continent. It tells of the struggles, hardships, and achievments of the native American people. It also tells how they viewed God how they came close to him and how a society as a whole believing in God can bless us. The Climax of the Book of Mormon is the personal visitation of the Lord Jesus Christ. After Christ was resurected from the dead and had ascended into heaven, he visited many other places around the world to teach them his doctrine. In the Book of Mormon it gives an account of this visitation in 3 Nephi chapters 11 through 28. For many years after Christ visitation the people live in peace and harmony, but eventually they fall again into wickedness. The Book of Mormon is the history of these people as recorded by the prophets of the time. The 2nd to last prophet Mormon compiled the history and abridged it into what he called the "Book of Mormon" and wrote it down on Gold plates. He then gave the plates to his son Moroni who wrote a few words of his own and then safely burried them in a hill side in what is now New York. Several years later this same Moroni appeared to Joseph Smith and showed him where the plates were. Joseph Smith then translated the plates through the gift and power of God into what we now know as the Book of Mormon - Another Testament of Jesus Christ.  Show more Show less
