Hi I'm Ben

I'm a husband, a father, a business school professor and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband, father and business school professor who loves triathlons, playing guitar and spending time with family. I enjoy interacting with business students in the courses I teach at the university. I also enjoy my research, which focuses on improving employee and patient well being in the healthcare industry. Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my amazing wife, who has made more out of me than I ever could have made out of myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, a living prophet, personal revelation and continuous self improvement. Being a member of the church gives me opportunities to stretch myself and serve others in ways that would be unlikely to happen otherwise.

How I live my faith

To follow Jesus Christ, I can show unconditional love to everyone around me and especially my family. I can be less judgmental. I can be happier with what I have and try to eliminate materialism from my life. I can look outward rather than inward in what occupies my time and attention. I am far from perfect but these are some of the goals I have set for myself. What does all that mean on a daily basis? My wife and I are committed to raising honest, hardworking children who have solid values. We are both involved in youth programs sponsored by our church. We do our best to be good neighbors and citizens, and to be proactively involved in our local school district. We have developed wonderful friendships in our community and we have learned much from the many examples of Christ-like service we have seen in our friends and neighbors who aren't of our faith.
