Hi I'm Lynne

I live close to the ocean that I love, in the beautiful city of Jacksonville, Fl. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, mother, and soon-to-be-grandmother. I'm really happy with my life and I'm enjoying growing older much more than I thought I would.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I find that life is so much easier, more peaceful and brings me so much more joy when I follow the gospel of Jesus Christ and live His teachings.

How I live my faith

I teach Early Morning Seminary, which is a scripture class for high school age kids. We meet at 6 a.m. each school day and study the scriptures before they go to school. I enjoy the time I spend with my students because they show a great example to me and they have a very sweet and powerful faith in our Savior.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Lynne
I believe this life is a blessing. We come here to receive the bodies that allow us to enjoy all the great things that are available on this Earth. Our bodies give us our senses, our ability to work and grow, to marry and have children. This life also allows us time to learn all the things that we need to progress and be successful, to mature and prepare ourselves for the next life. We learn to choose the good and leave behind the bad so that each day we can be a better person. Because of what our Savior, Jesus Christ did for us we are able to get past our mistakes and leave them behind. I believe Heavenly Father gives us every opportunity to prove ourselves worthy to receive those blessings in the next life that He has prepared for us. And because He loves us so much, he's made this life; this Great Plan of Happiness so we can prepare ourselves to live with Him and our families forever. Show more Show less
