Hi I'm Shea

I grew up in Idaho and live in Virginia. I'm a father and law student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a lawyer working in Washington DC. I have a beautiful wife and three wonderful kids. Life is busy and difficult with everything I have to do, but the gospel gives me peace and motivation to work hard so I can provide for my family and be a good father and husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I was a Mormon initially because my parents raised me as a member, but when I was a teenager I had to figure it out for myself. I read the Book of Mormon and felt that it was true. If the Book of Mormon is true, then Joseph Smith was a prophet and this is God's church. Every day I read the Book of Mormon and its truthfulness is continually reinforced to me.

How I live my faith

Life as a lawyer is busy. I work hard to provide for my family. But I set aside most of each evening to spending time with my family. On Sundays, I teach Sunday School and avoid working so I can spend time with my family. Like everyone else, I do so without pay. In spite of my busy schedule, my faith and my family are the most important things in my life.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Shea
Our faith in Christ is the centerpiece of our marriage. Faith is on one hand a simple assurance that things will work out according to His plan for us. That has been a pillar of strength during the uncertainty involved with preparing for a job in this economy. It has also helped us to have the faith to have children; that they'll be provided for. Most of all, our shared faith helps us have the same vision for our lives and helps us be unified. Show more Show less
