Hi I'm Eric

I'm a scientist, an athlete, and a musician. I value family, learning, and recreation. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm studying mechanical engineering and playing hockey at a university in the United States. I also enjoy skiing and snowboarding, playing the piano, soccer, tennis, and being an uncle!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned, through experience, that I am happiest when I try to follow the example and teachings of Jesus Christ. There are many people who belong to different churches and also believe in and follow Christ. I choose to be a part of this particular church because I believe that Christ directly commissioned its formation. I believe that it possesses the authority necessary to perform important ordinances like baptism. I view the Book of Mormon and the words of the modern prophets as valuable supplements to the Bible, and evidence that our Heavenly Father loves us. I know that the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, and that Christ continues to direct His church today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making God my priority. Though my schedule is busy, I make time each day to enjoy the scriptures and communicate with my Heavenly Father through prayer. I try to cultivate the attributes that Christ demonstrates so perfectly, like honesty, compassion, and diligence. I want to behave such that those who know me will have a positive opinion of the Church of Jesus Christ and seek to know Him.
