Hi I'm Kate

I'm a full-time student and seeker of all forms of truth. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a full-time student, and I'm studying Art Education in order to become an art teacher. The visual arts in all its forms is my passion, along with orchestral and choral music. In my small life-span I've moved across the US more times than I care to count. My favorite hobby is designing and sewing clothing. I love to study US History, world religions, philosophy. I also love to make lasting friendships.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church by family whose history in the church spans back generations. However, the chances to leave the Church and choose a separate path have always been present and I have considered them as possibilities. But through it all, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has brought me answers, joy, and peace in situations where absolutely nothing else could. Through the gospel which has been restored through this Church, I know my path back to Heaven has been paved; I only need to take it, and I can do so by following the teachings of this Church. I know of nothing else that can truly bring me the things I desire from my existence, and I am not ignorant of the innumerable offerings that can be found in this world. I know the Jesus is the Christ, and that through His atonement for the sins of the world, I can be changed. Because of Him I can shake off the chains which bind me and become something even better than my fondest dreams have imagined. I know that this gospel, as restored by the true modern prophet, Joseph Smith Jr, has been restored in it's entirety in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite ways to live my faith is to share it. It has brought me so much joy and hope, I think it would be selfish to keep it all to myself. Beyond that, I have focused my artistic endeavors in portraying things of the gospel. I love to read the Book of Mormon, New Testament, and Doctrine & Covenants, and practice the teachings found in there. One of my utmost favorite things to do is visit the Lord's Holy House - the Temple - and do work there.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Kate
Mormon temples are used to seal couples and families together for Eternity, to perform ordinances necessary to gain exaltation, and to do this saving work for those who have passed on. They are also an excellent and unparalleled place when one is seeking peace, rest from the cares of the world, and answers to questions. Show more Show less
