Hi I'm Betty

Yah ah tey Hello My name is Betty I am Navajo Indian a wife mother and grandmother and I m a Mormon.

About Me

I'am a Navajo Indian living in the Florida at the present time with my family. I am married have been for 33 years raised 5 beautiful children, which have brought us some of the best Grandchildren ever! I love the outdoors my family and I love to camp. I love spending time with friends and family and do so quite often, I like to cook, quilt and serve my brother and sisters when I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the Peace in my heart and the best part is knowing who I am and where I came from and where I am going after this life. Just knowing I have a Father In Heaven who Loves me and knows me personally and my Bro Jesus Christ his great Sacrifice for me gives me comfort! I grew up on and off an Indian reservation in my youth, there were stormy and unsettling areas in my young life as a child but having a mother who was so strong in her beliefs of the Gospel of Jesus Christ gave me such comfort. I have had the opportunity to raise my children in the Gospel and have a deep Love for the Church and it's standards and teaching of how I should as a parent raise my children almost like a constant compass in my life. The Church is True it's teachings are true! I Love this Gospel of Jesus Christ!

How I live my faith

The Church is a part of our daily life in my family. Now that my husband and I somewhat have an empty nest we try to have people in the ward over to our house almost on a weekly basis to get to know them help them feel a part of our Ward family. I have served in the church as a teacher, and now serving as a Activities chairman for our Ward - it's been fun in planning activities for our members and it's a time for everyone to get to know one another.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Betty
In my youth as a Native American I was taught there was a greater power A Creator who created this Earth he gave us life and purpose. He created this beautiful earth for us. And that everything that exists in nature has a spirit, so when I was introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ it confirmed there is a God. Just to witness a sunrise and see the waters that flow which give us life, which shows us there is a God our Heavenly Father... Show more Show less
