Hi I'm Valerie

I love to laugh! I love to sing. I love sports. And I'm a Mormon :

About Me

I am currently a college student studying math education and coaching, and I love it! I play ultimate frisbee and volleyball all the time and love being outside :) I also love to sing and listen to music. My friends are the best! They lift me up every day.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ is simple, but it means the world to me. I love my Savior Jesus Christ, and am continuously amazed at how much He loves me. I know that He suffered for my sins, and because of that I will never be alone. He knows my thoughts and He knows my pains. I know that Heavenly Father loves me infinitely and perfectly, and He knows what is best for me. He has given me a way to communicate with Him (prayer), and He blesses me with answers through the Holy Spirit. I love the companionship of the Holy Spirit. I know that Joseph Smith is the Prophet of the Restoration of the Gospel. He had so much faith and courage, and I am so grateful for all of his sacrifices that he made so that I can have the truth in my life. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, I have read it and studied it personally, and it is another testament of our Savior, Jesus Christ. If I miss a day of studying, I know it because things don't feel right. I am just not happy without it. Daily study from the Book of Mormon is essential to my happiness. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our living prophet on the earth. He leads and guides us, and he loves us so much. When I hear him speak, I can feel his love for me, and for everyone else in the world. I know that, through temple ordinances, I can be with my family forever. Heavenly Father has blessed me with an amazing family, and I can't imagine how sad I would be if I thought that our family ended at the grave. I am so happy that I will be with them in heaven. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. It is the way to happiness, and it is the way back to our Heavenly home. The knowledge of these things brings me so much hope and comfort. I know that I have the truth in my life and I am so grateful that Heavenly Father has blessed me with this knowledge.

How I live my faith

"I'm trying to be like Jesus, I'm following in His ways. I'm trying to love as He did, in all that I do and say. At times I am tempted to make a wrong choice, but I try to listen as the still, small voice whispers: 'Love one another as Jesus loves you, try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought.' These are the things Jesus taught."
