Hi I'm Joshua

I love my family, computers, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my beautiful wife and we have three lovely children. I love spending time with my family and friends. When I'm not with my family, I'm on my computer, either at work or for fun. I love programming and learning about new computer technologies. I'm also interested in current events and the news.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me joy that can't be described. Peace and contentment come from understanding where I came from, why I'm here, and what the future holds in store. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has helped me see and feel that more deeply. Knowing that I can be forgiven of my sins and return to live with my Heavenly Father and my family means more to me than anything else. My life here on earth would be empty without the gospel and my family. I can't imagine an eternity without them! Thanks be to God for his great love and mercy!

How I live my faith

I am very active in my community. I am always looking for ways to serve neighbors and the city I live in. In my mind, that is what being a community is. Working together to improve ourselves and those around us. I also serve actively in my local congregation. I am primarily responsible for helping people in our neighborhood find jobs, get better jobs, and improve their resume/interview skills.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Joshua
I think when you are able to take care of yourself, you are more capable of helping those around you. With the recent economic problems in my country, the need to be prepared and self-reliant has become more self-evident. Neighbors and friends who have lost their job have been able to sustain themselves through trial because they were prepared. They had some money stored away and food storage. With their own preparation and the help of the local community, these people were able to make it through an otherwise impossible situation. There is peace in knowing that you can be ready for life's little disasters. Just a little bit of saving and patience can make you prepared for anything that comes your way. Show more Show less
