Hi I'm Jessica

I am a busy mom of 4. I love to sing, play the piano, bake, crochet and have fun with my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Canada. When I was 19, I went to the USA for school. There I met my handsome husband and settled down there. I am proud to say that I am now both Canadian and American. I love both countries and the freedoms we enjoy. After 10 years of being in the States, I am now back in Canada! My children are so wonderful. Yes, I have many struggles with them (what mom doesn't?) But they are my joy and inspiration. My husband is my hero. He is so wonderful to me and such an amazing father. I'm a firm believer that Marriage takes work to work. But it also brings me the most joy and happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was born and raised a Mormon. But that's not why I am one. While I was very young, the Spirit of the Lord was very close to me. I always knew that what I was being taught was the truth. As I've grown older, my testimony of this gospel has grown deeper. I have come to know without any doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. Jesus Christ stands at the head and directs His work here on the earth. To know that Jesus Christ died for me, so I can return to live with Him, brings me peace and joy beyond comprehension. The gospel brings meaning and purpose into my life. It makes sense of all the craziness that is in my life and in the world.

How I live my faith

Everything I am and do is because of my faith. It shapes how I start my day to what I do in it, to how I end it. Whether it is praying, scripture study, making cookies and casserols to neighbors in need. I try very hard to keep an eye out for anyone in need. I spend time practicing the piano for that's what I do at church, I accompany the children in Primary. Every Monday I prepare my home for what we call Family Home Evening, a time to share the gospel with our family. (Trust me, with 4 small children it takes much preparation!!) I spend time reading from church magazines which give me spiritual strength to keep going. I also strive very hard to attend the temple. A most beautiful and sacred place, where I am reminded of my Heavenly Father's plan.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jessica
Absolutley! Does God not love us as his children as much as he did in Moses day? We live in a very crazy world. We are in need of Heavenly guidance as much as, if not more, that the people of Moses. Thomas S Monson is the living prophet for our day. He speaks God's will to us. If we follow him, we will always be doing what God wants us to do. Show more Show less
