Hi I'm Zarin Michael

I live in Utah but have lived in Russia, Cali, and New Jersey. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm into gadgets and computers so that's what I'm studying in college. I love to read so much that I work at a book store. For fun I play tennis, lacrosse, and ride my bike on dirt trails. I wind down by watching movies or playing video games with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

It gives my life direction. The peace that comes from the Gospel can get me through any struggle that comes my way. I believe in God with all my heart and that knowledge is founded on hundreds of answered prayers and times where God has helped me in a time of need. I believe that God can speak to us through feelings of peace and joy and inspiration through thoughts. I feel those feelings and receive those thoughts as I read the scriptures, pray, and strive to live right. It's as simple as that. When I do those things I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ and that brings me happiness, no matter what storms life brings. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have 4 other members that I'm responsible for visiting each month and try to be someone they can count on when they need help (called "hometeaching"). I also am responsible for organizing lessons for our weekly church meetings and coordinating hometeaching visits for the other members.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Zarin Michael
Joseph Smith was the founder of the Mormon Church. We believe in the same church that Christ started when he lived on the Earth. After an Apostasy some truths were changed or lost, and they were restored through Joseph Smith as Christ's Church in the Latter-Days (a.k.a. the "Mormon Church"). Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Zarin Michael
The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead (along with God the Father and Jesus Christ). The Holy Ghost confirms truth through feelings of peace and joy. We ask through prayer what is true and God will communicate to us through the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Zarin Michael
They will talk about how our church started, what we believe in, what God's plan is for us, and about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They will be happy to answer any questions! Show more Show less
