Hi I'm Inger Brit Storesund

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love studying, and when my children were all in school I went back to University and got a Bachelor Degree. Next year I will train to be a teacher, with the aim of teaching 14-18 year olds. I have had a chance to live in many countries, and wherever I have been I have found the Church to teach the same true principles. My membership in the Church has provided me with an instant network wherever I have moved, and helped me when my own family were far away. I now have close friends not only in Norway and England, but also in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Canada and the US.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 18 I had a lot of questions about what I should do with my life. I could do whatever I liked, but wondered what would make me most happy. Thinking about all the people I knew, the ones that seemed most happy were Mormons, so I decided to go to the Church and find out what they had that made them seem so different. I started having lessons with the missionaries, and found they could answer questions I never managed to find answers to in the Church I grew up in. They said that if I prayed God would answer my prayers and let me know this was His Church. It took me a while to understand how God spoke to me personally, and I think my faith needed to be tested. After a few months I got my own answer in such a powerful way that I have never forgotten in, and never waivered in my conviction.

How I live my faith

Two years after I was baptized I decided to be a missionary myself. For 18 months I shared the gospel with people in Ireland and Northern-Ireland. I still think of that as some of the best time of my life, where I really got to know Jesus Christ and understand the plan he has for us. I have done filled many different roles in Church, working with the children, with the young people, and with our women's organization. My favourite positions are those where I get to teach the gospel. Right now I teach Sunday School for young men and women aged 14 -18. I love it. I hope I can help them discover that life is better when you put the Lord first, because when you do he will help you with all your needs and problems. Serving is not always convenient, especially when you are busy. We are not paid for the work we do at Church, but when I give I find the Lord always blesses me beyond what I have given.
