Hi I'm Rhett

About Me

I love computers and video games. I actually work at a computer repair shop. Some of my favorite video games are Halo and Kingdom Hearts. I love movies and playing games with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I live in Utah, was born and raised here, so I was born inside the church, but I continued to be a Mormon because I love the church so much and I know that their teachings are true. When I follow the teachings of the church I get so happy and I see how they are truly inspired by a loving God who only wants us to be happy.

How I live my faith

I just recently returned from a proselyting mission in Italy. I spent two years there, telling people about our church and the benefits it has brought in my life and potential it has to bring those benefits to others. Now I serve as a home teacher, which would be someone who visits other members of the church to see if their spiritual needs are being met and to provide a spiritual support

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Well the church is composed of a First Presidency 3 Men and Twelve Apostles. Under them there are several different quorums and further government but the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve together make general decisions for the church. The President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the same being the head of the first presidency, is the prophet of the church. The way the prophet is chosen is when the current prophet dies for they serve until the end of their lives the first presidency is dissolved and the remaining members of the first presidency return to the quorum of the Twelve. Then together, after praying constantly and coming to a unanimous vote, they choose which of the Apostles will be called as the next prophet. Show more Show less
