Hi I'm Marion Ernest

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a software developer, husband, and father of six. My wife and I have been married for over 16 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was adopted by my parents at birth. My mother was a member of the church her whole life. My father joined the church when I was about 9 years old. I always thought I had a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel, but I believe I didn't truly have a testimony until I was serving a two year mission in Bolivia. That is when my faith was tested as I attempted to share the gospel with strangers. During those two years I learned that I indeed believe that Joseph Smith saw God the Father, and Jesus Christ, and that the Book of Mormon is a true record of God's dealings with the people in America.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through total devotion to my wife and children. The family is the single most important institution and is ordained by God. I live my faith by following the belief that, "no success can compensate for a failure in the home". I can truthfully say that there is no greater joy than serving your family.

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Marion Ernest
Tithing is used for the building and up keep of meeting houses and temples. No member draws a salary. There is no paid ministry in the church. Show more Show less
