Hi I'm Diane

I'm a hunter. I just returned to the work force after staying home to raise my 3 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an empty nester who just went back to work after having stayed home to raise my family. I'm now spending some quality time with my husband and best friend and looking forward to being a grandparent.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young mother tying to raise 3 small children in a crazy world, I wanted to give them everything they would need to be happy and successful adults. I knew my husband and I needed to agree on what to teach them about important things like life and death. I began to look around at the many families around me who were so happy and realized that they all had one thing in common, they were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Soon I began discussing the church with the full time missionaries. At each lesson, I agreed with the all the principles I was being taught. It all made perfect sense to me, which I later learned was confirmation from the Holy Ghost of the truth. I knew that Heavenly Father loved me. I knew that He gave me this life and a prophet and scriptures to guide me back to Him. As I learned about the temple and the ordinances performed there, I desperately wanted to be sealed to my family for eternity. They are the most important things in my life and I wanted to be with them for eternity! This is a Family centered Gospel. I feared reactions from my friends and family so I hesitated to get baptized. One Easter Sunday as we watched a movie with the missionaries about the atonement and resurrection, I had a clear knowledge that Christ died for me. That He suffered for my sins! And I knew, that it was the least I could do to be baptized into His church and serve him. Serving Heavenly Father and His children gives me true joy and more happiness than I could have ever imagined. I have 3 happy and successful children who are all serving The Lord right now. My youngest son and youngest daughter are serving full time missions for the church and my oldest daughter is participating in missionary work in her new town. Heavenly Father blessed me with my heart's desire!

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a temple preparation teacher for single adult ward at a church university. As young men and women prepare to serve full time missions or get married, they enter the temple for more instruction on the plan of salvation. This knowledge gives them strength and protection as they endeavor to change the lives of people or begin their families. It is such a joy to be around young people who love Heavenly Father and have such a bright hope and strong faith. I also serve as a visiting teacher which means that I visit several women in our congregation on a monthly basis. I check on them to see if they need anything and give them a Gospel lesson specific to women in the church.
