Hi I'm Jason Gregory Bell

I am a Husband, a father of five wonderful children, a Veteran and I'm Mormon!

About Me

I am a 30 year old father of five children. I served in the U. S. Army for eight years. I served with 1-4th Cavalry out of Schweinfurt, Germany and with 5-7th Cavalry out of Ft. Stewart, GA. I am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2 and 5. I am an Elder in the Amarillo Stake, Amarillo 2nd Ward.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a Testimony of this church. I know with my entire being that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer. Isaiah 53 and Mosiah ( in the book of Mormon) 14:2 ...........he hath no form or comeliness; and when we shall see him there is no beauty that we should desire him. I know He lives. I know He restored His church through a young man who became His prophet, named Joseph Smith. I know this by the power of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I love going out with the missionaries and meeting my many brothers and sisters on this Earth. Spreading the gospel is intense and brings a joy to my life. I try to serve my fellow man as often as possible.

What is faith?

Jason Gregory Bell
To hope for things which are not seen but which are true. (Hebrews 11:1) To have faith is to have confidence is something or someone. The Book of Mormon teaches in Alma 32: 21, "And now as I said concerning faith--faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true." Faith must be centered in Jesus Christ in order to produce Salvation. Show more Show less

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Jason Gregory Bell
When you have faith in Jesus Christ, you believe in Him as the Son of God, the Only Begotten of the Father in the Flesh. You accept Him as your Savior and Redeemer and follow His teachings. You believe that your sins can be forgiven through His Atonement. Faith in Him mean that you trust Him and are confident that He loves you. Faith leads to action, including repentance, obedience, and dedicated service. When you have faith in Jesus Christ, you trust the Lord enough to follow His commandments even when you do not completely understand the reasons for them. Your faith will increase through diligent study, prayer, dedicated service, and obedience to the promptings of the Holy Ghost and the commandments. Your faith in Jesus Christ grows as you become better acquainted with Him and His teachings. As you explore the scriptures and search them, you learn of His ways, His love for all people, and His commandments. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Jason Gregory Bell
Mormons live like any normal human being with a few exceptions. We choose not to watch mature television shows or R-rated or above movies. We don't spend money on Sunday's or spend the day in recreational activities, because we believe in keeping the sabbath day holy. We also if our jobs will allow it, avoid working on Sundays and therefore we choose to not spend money or do anything that would cause others to work. We do believe however that working for the Lord is what he would want us to do. We also obey the Word of Wisdom which is a set of guide lines that the prophet Joseph Smith revealed Feb, 27, 1833, which says not to use Tobacco or consume Alcohol or drink hot drinks which latter day prophets have said means tea and coffee.
