Hi I'm Ethan

I was named after a John Wayne character in the movie "The Searchers" and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 4 beautiful girls and a husband to a awesome wife. I would like to tell you what my hobbies are, but I really don't have any. I often am travel to many locations as an embedded software engineer visiting companies helping them improve the way the work. This doesn't leave much free time, so I love to spend my free time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

The joy and happiness I have today I can attribute to the choice of my parents to join the Church when I was 6 years old. The standards of the Church raised our standards. This enabled us to seek for better opportunities in life and lift ourselves out of poverty. I was one of the first in my family to go to college and graduate. It was at college that I was able to meet my eternal companion. Together we continue to make prayerful choices that have profound effects on the directions we should take. We watch while others struggle and feel grateful that because we have tried to live the gospel the best we can, the Lord has blessed us with guidance to avoid those struggles. We are not perfect in all the requirements of the Church, but because we strive to do our best and the Lord is merciful, we have been surely blessed.

How I live my faith

I am the Elders Quorum President. The Elders Quorum is one of two adult men organizations in the Church that is setup to help the Bishop look after the members. I have two counselors that help me over see this organization and its responsibilities. We teach gospel lessons, oversee service, fellowship, and let the families we have stewardship over know how much we care. Outside of my responsibilities at Church, I try to live my religion. I don't believe it is appropriate to throw my beliefs in the face of everyone I meet or work with. However, I do find that many of my friends and associates are curious of them from the way I live my life. Those are the times that I share what I believe and I am respectful not to preach. But I always leave an open invitation to come to me to find out more.
